The band capped off their much-anticipated self-funded trip to Festival Interceltique Lorient (FIL) Saturday, August 8, with a victory in the Lorient pipe band championships.

Through the nine day visit to Brittany the band met countless new friends, experienced marvelous new music and, at times, performed for upwards of 650,000 people.

Here’s a French Television clip of the band performing an impromptu performance with a visiting Brazilian military pipe band before the Grand Parade that marked the first full official day of the festival.

Toronto Police Grade 1 Band in Concert June 23!

Here’s your chance to catch the grade 1 band in concert, Tuesday, June 23 in Aurora, Ontario.

The band has planned a self-funded trip to the Lorient Interceltic Festival in Brittany, France (July 31st – August 8th) and have scheduled a local sneak preview of their Lorient concert. The band will be taking the small stage of St Andrew’s College’s Ketchum Auditorium next Tuesday evening at 8:00 pm.

Tickets at $12 are for general admission and, due to the small room, have limited availability.

The band’s “Lorient” t-shirts will also be on sale, available at $15 each.
