Agree! Btw, Mikael Hansson designed this poster all to support the band. You can hear some of his own music here: http://www.myspace.com/colabtoronto

I was told a while back that your band would be recording a CD in France that would be available for sale last Fall 2009. I wasn't able to find any mention of this at your website. Did the recording happen? Susanne

Alex, Enjoyed learning more about the Toronto Police Pipe Band! Also, liked the video on Passchendaele. Have to find out more history about that. I wondered how you got to practice with the band, now I know---a long commute. My son Mark's wife was attending college in Toronto and Mark made that trip several times. He only complained about one section which seemed to be very boring. His wife transfered to Tempe, AZ where she is finishing up her degree. (it wasn't the weather that made her change) Mark finds getting on an airplane a much better commute from Griswold, CT.

ABBA is one of my favorite groups. I used to have one of their videos on my facebook page---it might still be there---

Burns night in Groton was a splendid affair. Hope you can make it next year!

Peace and Blessings,
Ev Munro

Hi, I've watched the Idiomatica post on youtube over and over and can't get enough of it. I think it is really inspiring what you guys have done and I think other bands will eventually give it a go. I've passed the clip around other members of my band, NSW Police pipe band, and so far all comments have been good. Keep up the good work, it's great.

First saw the band doing a warmup in Sarnia many years ago. I fell in love then and the tight playing and the dedication still haunt me today. Thank you to the band and for sharing on the web. And I think Mike Grey is a god.

My personal breakthrough came when, on the advice of a few others, I got so I could sing or hum a tune before I tried the old playing over and over. It dramatically shortened the learning curve, and it's easier to hum on the drive to work than it is to play the chanter. :)
