Grade 3 Band North American Pipe Band Champions

On July 30th, the Grade 3 Band competed in a field of ten bands at the North American Pipe Band Championships. This event is held annually within Glengarry County, at the small town of Maxville Ontario. The band won the contest and received three of a possible four first place scores. The entire band is very proud of they way the band performed, and are elated with the result!

The Grade 1 band performed very well in the premier event, and was placed first in one of the two event contests. The band placed third overall in a field of seven internationally competitive bands.

Next up is the historic Fergus Highland Games to be held on August 13th. This will finish out the competition season for this year.

A Fantastic Trip to France

The band capped off their much-anticipated self-funded trip to Festival Interceltique Lorient (FIL) Saturday, August 8, with a victory in the Lorient pipe band championships.

Grade 3 Band Dusts it Up in Lindsay, Ontario

Toronto Police Pipe Band’s Grade 3 team cranked it up in Lindsay, Ontario, and showed off great form.  The grade 3 band supported the newest addition to the Pipers’ & Pipe Band Society of Ontario’s Highland Games circuit:   the Lindsay Games.  The June 27th event saw the band perform their medley, an all new creation designed for the 2009 competition season. Success at Georgetown Games

Both the grade 1 and grade 3 bands attended the 2009 Georgetown Highland Games and kicked off their 2009 competition season in a big way.  (more…)
