A Fantastic Trip to France

The band capped off their much-anticipated self-funded trip to Festival Interceltique Lorient (FIL) Saturday, August 8, with a victory in the Lorient pipe band championships.

Through the nine day visit to Brittany the band met countless new friends, experienced marvelous new music and, at times, performed for upwards of 650,000 people.  

Here’s a French Television clip of the band performing an impromptu performance with a visiting Brazilian military pipe band before the Grand Parade that marked the first full official day of the festival.

    First saw the band doing a warmup in Sarnia many years ago. I fell in love then and the tight playing and the dedication still haunt me today. Thank you to the band and for sharing on the web. And I think Mike Grey is a god.
